Class Teacher – Primary Section

The British International School of Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking a dedicated Primary Class Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across a range of subjects, inspire a love of learning, and contribute to the holistic development and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with school curriculum guidelines.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including assessments, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Establish a supportive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student growth.
  • Engage with parents through reports, meetings and open communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, including Subject Coordinators, Year Group Coordinators, and Teaching Assistants.
  • Participate in wider school activities, including sports days, fairs, charity events and graduation.
  • Lead an Extracurricular Activity Club.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and safeguarding of students in all school activities.
Requirements:
  •  A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in a primary setting.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to student engagement beyond academics through extracurricular activities.

Learning Support Teacher – Primary Section

This role involves providing high-quality support for students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment, and collaborating closely with colleagues, parents, and specialists to promote academic, social, and emotional development of every child. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups. 
  • Keep accurate records and monitor progress. 
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the Student Support Team. 
  • Contribute to support plans and meetings. 
  • Lead an extracurricular club. 
  • Contribute to wider school life and professional development activities. 
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing in all activities.  
Requirements: 
  • Recognised teaching qualification. 
  • At least two years’ primary teaching or support experience. 
  • Experience or training in supporting additional needs. 
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Substitute Teacher – Primary Section

This role involves providing high-quality support for students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment, and collaborating closely with colleagues, parents, and specialists to promote academic, social, and emotional development of every child. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective cover for absent teachers across year groups, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Establish a supportive and well-managed classroom environment where students feel secure and motivated.
  • Maintain lesson flow, including marking, feedback, and records where required.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, working in partnership with colleagues.
  • Lead an extracurricular club and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Uphold safeguarding, wellbeing, and health and safety standards at all times.

Assessment Coordinator & Exams Officer – Secondary Section 

Start Date: September 2025

This is a full-time position for a candidate already residing in Jeddah. Sponsorship is not available. 

The British International School Jeddah (BISJ) is seeking an organised and adaptable Assessment Coordinator & Exams Officer to oversee the administration of all assessments and examinations across the school. This pivotal role ensures the smooth delivery of GL assessments, Cambridge IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and integrity. 

Working closely with colleagues, students, and parents, you will play a key part in supporting academic excellence and ensuring every assessment process runs seamlessly. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Manage the planning and administration of GL assessments, entrance testing, IGCSE and IB Diploma examinations. 
  • Prepare exam timetables, candidate entries, seating plans, and secure records. 
  • Liaise with staff, SENCO, IT, and invigilators to ensure access arrangements and compliance. 
  • Securely handle and store exam papers, ensuring full exam integrity. 
  • Coordinate the release of results and handle post-results services such as enquiries and appeals. 
  • Communicate clearly with staff, students, and parents about assessment processes and timelines. 
  • Maintain accurate, auditable records in line with Cambridge, IB, and GL requirements.  
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a data-oriented or IT-related field. 
  • Strong data management and spreadsheet skills. 
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Flexible, proactive, and confident working independently once trained. 
  • High standards of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. 
  • Experience in exams or assessment administration is an advantage, though training will be provided.
