Each week, we celebrate Upper Primary students who have stood out for their achievement and effort with Hot Choc Chat. Over a hot chocolate, they sit down with our Head of Primary, Jo Rice, to share what they love about school and what they would change. Their ideas are heard and acted on.
In Lower Primary, Golden Story Time brings that week’s chosen children together from across the classes to share a story and talk about it. It’s a relaxed, personal setting where our youngest learners feel comfortable speaking up, and where we get to know each child as an individual.
At BISJ, young voices shape school life. We listen, and we make change.

Our Stingrays Volleyball teams are ready for a competitive year!
After weeks of practice and training, our players have already been putting their skills to the test at the recent RSAC competitions, and they’re only getting started.
Sport is a big part of student life at BISJ. Some of our students play to be part of a team, some to push themselves as athletes, and some simply to stay active and healthy. Whatever the reason, every one of them brings energy, commitment and Stingray spirit to the court.

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Through our partnership with Jeddah Yacht Club, BISJ students are taking their outdoor education onto the water: learning to sail, kayak and work as a team, and enjoying the thrill of the banana boat.
Every session builds new skills, confidence and a sense of adventure, and gives our students experiences they’ll carry well beyond the school day.

Last week, our IB Business students attended a workshop with Swiss Education Group, exploring study pathways at some of Switzerland’s leading schools for hospitality, business and management.
Sessions like this are part of what makes the IB at BISJ different. Alongside an internationally recognised qualification, students gain direct access to universities and industry experts, helping them understand the opportunities open to them and make informed decisions about higher education and beyond.
IB students at BISJ develop real-world perspective, build confidence in professional settings and leave with a clear sense of where their studies can take them.

History came to life at Night at the Museum as our Year 7 students stepped into the world of The Odyssey, bringing their characters to life through costumes and monologues.
At BISJ, we believe some of the best learning happens when students get to put their learning into practice — exploring literature, speaking, performing and sharing their ideas with an audience.
