Model United Nations (MUN)
Model United Nations (MUN) is a dynamic and enriching educational experience that simulates the workings of the United Nations. At its core, MUN empowers students to engage deeply with pressing global issues, while developing skills in diplomacy, critical thinking, public speaking, and international cooperation. More than just an Extra-Curricular Activity, MUN nurtures future leaders—individuals who are compassionate, globally minded, and committed to collaborative problem-solving.
The MUN Club at BISJ
The BISJ MUN Club is an inclusive and vibrant community that meets weekly, offering opportunities for students at all levels—from beginners to experienced delegates preparing for Chair roles. Our structured program ensures that students progressively build their skills and confidence in a supportive environment.
Each year, BISJ hosts one of the largest student-led conferences in the region, welcoming up to 400 delegates from across the Kingdom and beyond. In addition, we run two internal conferences designed exclusively for BISJ students, providing valuable platforms to practice and grow.
Our students also represent BISJ at prestigious external conferences, including three local events in Jeddah (AISJ, JPGS, and TKS) and two prominent international conferences in Berlin and Amsterdam. These experiences not only enhance their MUN capabilities but also expose them to a wide range of cultures, viewpoints, and global networks.
MUN has become central to my life, shaping how I approach issues and engage with global media. As Secretary-General, I have the privilege of helping passionate delegates tackle international conflicts. It’s an honour to see them develop critical thinking and empathy, core MUN values. MUN is more than an activity; it’s a tool shaping leaders who find inventive solutions.
