Our House System
We are proud to uphold the esteemed tradition of the British House system as it is a key element of our school’s heritage.
Upon joining, every student is assigned to one of our four Houses (North, South, East, and West), with siblings placed together to strengthen family bonds and foster a sense of community.
Each House is led by a dedicated Head of House, who provides guidance and support while working to lead their House to success in various competitions and school achievements.
Students can also develop leadership skills by serving as House Captains, representing their House in a range of activities and encouraging collaboration among their peers.
Throughout the year, students participate in friendly House competitions across sports, arts, music, drama, academic quizzes, and debates – promoting excellence and encouraging healthy rivalry. Students earn points for their House by demonstrating our core values of responsibility, academic achievement, and kindness.
House points are regularly counted, and the House with the highest total is celebrated and recognised. The prestigious House Cup is awarded annually to the House with the most outstanding overall performance, serving as a symbol of pride and accomplishment within the BISJ community.
