IB1 and IB2

In Years 12 and 13, students aged 16-18 can choose from three pathways, all of which provide access to university.

BISJ students perform extremely well against international norms and consistently graduate to join top universities across the world.

IB at BISJ has helped me organise my time, manage my days, and face challenges I’ve never experienced before. I believe this will help me in university and beyond because it’s advanced.” Hadi, IB2

The most academic students at BISJ engage with the I (IB) Diploma Programme – an extremely rigorous and challenging university entrance programme. The academic rigour makes IB students attractive to universities, and leaves students well placed for success once at university.

Two alternative pathways are also available that provide access to IB teaching but without the pressure of completing the full IB Diploma. All students, irrespective of pathway, can obtain the BISJ High School Diploma which is externally accredited and enables access to university.

The choice of subjects includes:
  • Arabic
  • Art
  • Business Studies
  • Drama
  • Economics
  • English
  • Environmental Systems and Societies
  • French
  • Geography
  • History
  •  History and Geography of Saudi Arabia
  •  Islamic Civilisation
  •  Mathematics
  •  Music
  • Physical Education
  • Science
  • Spanish
  • Sports
  • Exercise and Health Science
  • Theory of Knowledge

Students choose subjects using a prescribed framework to ensure they gain a broad educational experience.

Our dedicated University Guidance Services Office supports all BISJ students and families in the selection of Higher Education courses, university selection and the application process at no additional cost and with great success.
