Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) is an exciting and challenging interdisciplinary course offered as part of the IB Diploma Programme and available at Standard and Higher Levels.

This unique subject combines aspects of biology, geography, and environmental science, allowing students to explore the complex relationships between people and the natural world.

ESS encourages students to think critically about global environmental challenges, such as climate change, resource management, and sustainability, while also considering ethical and cultural perspectives.

Through a combination of classroom learning, practical activities, and fieldwork in Cyprus, the course equips students with the knowledge and skills to understand and address the pressing environmental issues of our time.

The course is an ideal choice for students with ability and interests in science and social studies, and those passionate about making a difference for the planet.
